Every summer we grow a garden as a family. It takes a lot of time starting with refreshing the soil, planting the seeds, installing the water pipes, tarping the boxes, pulling the weeds, and so on. But in the end it is always rewarding and fun. We are able to eat our own tomato sandwiches (mmm so good just thinking about that makes me hungry), watermelon, dip our own sweet strawberries in sugar, user our onions and spices in our soups and salads, pour our gravy over our own potatoes. And every year we have always had too much for our family that we usually end up selling a lot of our garden or giving bags away to our friends and neighbors. It’s great to enjoy what you have worked hard to earn. I think that’s why Dad sometimes makes us earn what we want even though it wouldn’t be that hard for him to just give it to us. Okay I’m heading to the kitchen to make a tomato sandwich, no joke, ; ) Brittany Out

One thing I really love is writing. It could be poems, stories, or novels. I have finished about two made up stories and I am currently working on one, it’s called The Time of Swirlz. I definately like writing FICTION stories more than non-fiction. I plan to keep on making stories as I get older and even publish a few! Try writing a story sometime! At least 2 pages! See where it takes you.

One thing I love is having a cousin exactly 5 weeks younger than me. We are as close of friends as we are close in age and I love my cousin Cassidy so much. Even though we live thousands of miles apart now we are still close and keep in touch. She is so great and I really look up to her.
~A cousin is a sister you never had~ (were cousins because our parents couldn’t handle us as sisters) Love you Cass!

I have two favorite places in all the world so far that I have been to. The first one is my house and the second place is at the Gaylord Hotel Resort. I don’t know if you’ve been there or not but it is fantastic. I love it! I like the Texas and the Florida one the same and our family tries to go every year. Many of the staff and people from the great HDI conference have made our stay there so memorable and maybe that’s why I like it sooo much! ; ) It is the best hotel I have ever been to from the rooms to the octopus slide. A couple days ago Jake and I went bowling with some friends to end our summer and celebrate starting a new year at school. It was a lot of fun. But we realized that it wasn’t bowling that made it fun, but instead, it was who we went with and what we talked about.

Mowing the lawn already isn’t a favorite thing to do for me. In fact, I’d almost rather do anything else besides mow the lawn. However, in our family we have to all help out with the yard which includes me having to mow the lawn on a regular basis. My attitude when mowing the lawn isn’t a very good one and I try to get it done as fast as possible. But when a six year old comes out and wants to “help” then it’s hard to say no. And of course, she wants to do the steering… but in the end (even though it takes way more time) I’m happier, were both happier. : ) One thing I love is having a friend to mow the lawn with. -Brittany Out

One thing I love is SUGAR! I have a BIG sweet-tooth, but what I love most of all is my mom’s home-made Chocolate Pound Cake. SOOOOO delectable, SOOOOO yummy, SOOOO mouth-watering! Of course, the other things she makes are really great too! Besides the Coco-nut almond- pecan-cream-cake she made. It was sitting in the fridge for weeks! Finally someone said “Lets just throw it away.” And it was gone. I think it would be pretty cool to be a chef, but for now its good to be able to be RELATED to one!

Basket ball i a very fun sport. It requires effort, hard work and skill. But if you practice and practice at it you will get better and better. My dad tell us, “Practice does not make perfect. Practice makes permanent… Permanent practice makes perfect.” In the picture that is my friend Trey. Trey, as you can see, loves to jump stuff. He will jump over anything just to make it a cool slam dunk. He loves basket ball just as much as I do and we both practice permanently to become perfect.

In our backyard we have a trampoline. In the picture to the left is is above ground. Recently we dug a big hole and stuck the trampoline in the ground. Jumping on the tramp is alot of fun. There are so many activities you can do. Games you can play. Having friends over and playing on the tramp is so fun. Playing with your brother is also fun. I love having a trampoline.
